Who We Are
SMMPA is well equipped to support its member utilities in a number of diverse areas through three teams made up of 39 full-time and two part-time employees. The teams are Operations, Finance & Accounting and Corporate Development & Agency Relations. Within the teams, over 25 team members hold bachelor's degrees and 11 hold master's degrees. There are three professional engineers, three certified public accountants, three certified energy managers and two lawyers at the Agency. Many team members have been in the electric utility industry at least fifteen years. Member utilities regularly express their appreciation for the skill of the team members and quality of service they receive from the Agency.
